Lube base Oil mainly consists of three kinds of mineral base oil, synthetic base oil and biological base oil. Mineral base oil is widely used and has a large dosage (about 95%), but some applications must use synthetic base oil and bio-oil base oil to deploy the products, so that the two basic oils are rapidly developed.
The base oil of mineral oil is extracted from crude oil. The main production processes of lube base oil are: atmospheric and vacuum distillation, solvent stripping, solvent refining, solvent dewaxing, white soil or hydrofining. 1995 revised the current standard of lube base oil in China, mainly modified the classification method, and increased the low coagulation and deep refining of two types of special basic oil standards. The most important thing for the production of mineral lubricating oil is to choose the best crude oil.
The chemical constituents of mineral base oil include high boiling point, macromolecule hydrocarbon and non hydrocarbon mixtures. Its composition is generally alkane (straight chain, branched chain, multi branched chain, cycloalkanes (single ring, double ring, polycyclic), aromatic hydrocarbons (mono-aromatic hydrocarbons, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), alkyl aromatic hydrocarbons as well as oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur-containing organic compounds and resins, asphaltene and other non-hydrocarbon compounds. Bio-base oils (vegetable oil) are becoming more and more popular, which can degrade and rapidly reduce environmental pollution. As all of the world's industrial enterprises are seeking to reduce environmental pollution measures, and this "natural" lubricants are a feature, although the cost of vegetable oil is high, but the increase in costs to offset the use of other mineral oil, synthetic lubricants brought about by environmental governance costs.
